Ticket Handler

Position Summary (Ticket Scanner / Usher) Ticket Handlers are the welcoming committee for the Gomez Western Wear Arena. In this role, you ensure a smooth and secure entry process for all patrons, setting the tone for a safe and enjoyable event from the moment they arrive at the gates.
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Access Control: Utilize handheld digital scanners to verify and process mobile or printed tickets at entry points.

  • Guest Direction: Escort or direct guests to their assigned sections, seats, or VIP areas based on ticket credentials.

  • Policy Enforcement: Briefly inform guests of venue-specific rules, such as the clear bag policy or prohibited items.

  • Conflict Management: Identify and report seating disputes or fraudulent tickets to the Box Office or Security teams immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in retail or guest services is preferred.

  • Technical: Comfort using mobile scanning devices and basic digital technology.

  • Attitude: A welcoming, “Texas-friendly” personality with a focus on helpfulness.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Schedule: Primarily weekend and evening shifts aligned with the event calendar.

  • Physical: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the event; ability to navigate stairs frequently.
