Custodial

Position Summary The Custodial team member is essential to maintaining the prestige and cleanliness of the Gomez Western Wear Arena. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that all guest-facing areas—from the grandstands to the restrooms—meet our high standards of sanitation and presentation. Whether it’s prepping the facility for a sold-out concert or managing mid-event upkeep during a high-energy rodeo, your work ensures a safe, welcoming, and “Texas-clean” environment for every fan.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sanitation Management: Perform continuous cleaning and restocking of all arena restrooms during events to ensure they remain sanitary and fully supplied.

  • Waste Removal: Monitor and empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the concourses, seating bowl, and exterior entryways to prevent overflow.

  • Rapid Response: Immediately address and clean liquid spills or debris in high-traffic areas to mitigate slip-and-fall hazards.

  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum concourses, VIP lounges, and office areas as assigned; utilize basic floor-cleaning equipment safely.

  • Post-Event Detail: Participate in the “post-show” deep clean, removing all debris from the seating sections and ensuring the arena is “show-ready” for the next day’s event.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or stadium operations is a plus, but we are willing to train individuals with a strong work ethic.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and address cleanliness issues proactively without constant supervision.

  • Integrity: Must be trustworthy while working in restricted areas or around guest property.

  • Reliability: Must have dependable transportation for late-night or early-morning post-event shifts.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Schedule: Must be available to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.

  • Environment: Exposure to loud noise, large crowds, and various cleaning chemicals. Work may occur both indoors and in outdoor plaza areas.

  • Physical: Requires the ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours, frequent bending, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs (trash bags/equipment).
